Custom safe environments
Who are they for?
Safe environments are used for people who may be at risk of harm in an ordinary room. Commonly they are used to help care for children that have challenging or destructive behaviour or those who self-harm. Most of our clients are people with autism or other learning difficulties; however other clients have been at risk from hard surfaces due to such conditions as epilepsy or cerebral palsy.
What other benefits are there?
Because the Safe environment has a gap around the outside, the person inside cannot bang on the room walls. This has shown to greatly reduce noise disturbance to neighbours and other family members. Also reported is a calming influence on those with autism and better sleep patterns (for parents and carers too!)
How big is a Safe environment?
Safe environments are custom made in many sizes depending on the size of your room and the needs of the person using them. Available in single bed, double bed, room size and custom size up to 2m x 2m. Some basic room measurements are all we need to provide you with an individual design and free quote.
The Safe environment as a Bedroom
We find that most of our padded environments are fitted in people’s homes as bedrooms. They are designed and fitted to help parents and carers up and down the UK meet the challenges of caring for someone with no sense of personal safety or the safety of others. They are also fitted to help with the demands of caring for people, particularly children, who have poor sleep patterns.
